I used to wash my hair every time I found it greasy. So is that it to decide its time to wash em? Well, its always better to know your type than experimenting till high time you care for it.
The greasy thing you notice is the oil emanated from the scalp having sebaceous glands. Sebaceous glands produce oil called sebum that moves up hair follicles to the surface of the skin, where the oil lubricates skin and hair.
This gives you another clue to notice your activity and your hair type to well inform when you need a wash. So there you go:
A Straight Hair Type
Straight hair makes it easy for the oil travel faster, making it even easier to acquire dust and greasiness with the smell. Hence, its justified to wash ’em once every 2-3 days.
A Curly & Thick Hair Type
You get a little break from worrying washing your hair with curly & thick hair types. They take time to get real greasy because of time taken by oil to travel through. Washing them every 3-4 days shall be fine.
A Wavy Hair Types
Wavy hair are mostly wavy because of lack of oil generated through the scalp. You don’t really need to wash them until they get greasy and that relieves you typically for even up to 4 days. Its even advised to oil you hair well one night prior or at least half an hour before you wash wavy hair. It adds to the shine.
Besides, the hair type it also depends on kind of activity you do. More exposure to sun and pollution may demand the wash one day in advance.
